Maternity Photographs : Roenna + Chris

Remember Roenna & Chris, I photographed their wedding in early January of 2009. It was a perfect day for this perfect couple. I realized how loved they were by their familes. Little over two and a half years later, I met Ro and Chris again. This time, to photograph the pre-arival of their little baby girl. The charm of being a photographer, I get to photograph their life as they grow. What else could I ask for!

The golden light, falling leaves and a running river made a beautiful setup for Roenna and Chris’s maternity pictures. Roenna looked gorgeous! Chris made it a super fun shoot. I’m beyond excited for Roenna and Chris! Can’t wait to meet their little bundle of joy…

Sacramento Capitol Park Family Portraits: The Chafey Family

Talk about an adorable family with the most beautiful blue-eyed baby girl who is about to turn one, that would be the Chafey family. I met up with Melissa, Brandon and Caitlin last weekend for their family session at the Sacramento Capitol park. Caitlin made me want to drop my camera and just pick her up, she was that adorable! I met Melissa at Amanda & Tim’s wedding last year when she was expecting Caitlin. I was excited when she contaced me this year for taking pictures of her beautiful family. I had a great time hanging out with them and capturing their family moments.

Happy Birthday (soon), little Caitlin I hope I get to see you again and next time I’ll be sure to pick you up for a big hug…:)

Sacramento High School Senior Photography : Thomas Maxey

Meet Thomas Maxey, the uber cool cartoonist who is also a guitar player. Last weekend I met up with Thomas and his family for his senior portrait session at the Sacramento Capotol park. We came out with a great set of pictures that will remind him of him senior days forever. Thomas will be joing Sac State in the coming semester and will be majoring in Computer Science. My best wishes to Thomas for all the excitement ahead!

Roseville Family Portrait: Bains Family

I can’t explain how I enjoy seeing families every year during their annual photo shoots. Remember Bains family from here and here … this year we met again.

And this isn’t your typical family photo shoot in a studio…every year we make this into a super fun family time for everybody. To my surprise, little Kashni was now talking and Jaap was the beautiful big sister even more responsible and loving than last time! The girls were all so pretty in shades of pink..it was the day before valentine’s day after all. This year we had a brand new motorcycle to play with. Daddy Bains had a new toy that we could not leave out for pictures. Then we headed to Old Sac to bring in the train track as the backdrop.

It was an awesome shoot with Gagan, Gurinder, Jaap and Kashni. I still can’t believe how fast the kids have grown. I’m truly blessed to have the opportunity to capture memories for this beautiful family. I wonder what it will be like next year…we already talked about some cool ideas for the 2012 shoot!! Can’t wait!

I have known this little boy from the day one of his life. And I have to say that I’m in love with his little toes, the golden hair and his bright blue eyes. I love this little munchkin…little Liam. He is a trooper, he is strong, smart and obviously the cutest! Liam turned One yesterday. I couldn’t have missed this opportunity to capturing this bg event. He wasn’t feeling the best, but he let me take some snaps. I hope he doesn’t hate me for the thirty-minute of pain he had to go through for the pictures in the morning

Sunny || Roseville Sacramento Portrait photographer

I have known Sunny for about four years now. We met at a community party and found out that we lived within 2 miles of each other. We exchanged phone numbers and business cards and that was it. Months later she invited me over to her house for dinner. We hit it off right there, we became friends. Sunny and I aren’t exactly alike. But there is something about our friendship that tells me that we will be friends for many, many years. We learned a lot about each other during this time. I already knew that she was sweet. But over time I learned that she is way more than just a beautiful woman.

She embraced me with open arms.
And I learned from her to accept life as it presents itself. She has faced the dark reality. But she came out of it to become stronger, more confident and even more beautiful than ever.

Sunny wanted to capture herself in the images, not the images of herself only. And I think we did it. We finally found a day when it wasn’t pouring outside. We started off at a near by park, ended at downtown Roseville. Sunny loves to read books. She believes that “one apple a day keeps the doctor away”. Never a day goes by without she having an apple She is also a fashionista! Especially with shoes! She has quite a few of those We wanted to bring in all the elements that represent her. She is a cheerful person, she loves to laugh. She is passionate about helping others. She is someone who will not show her back when a friend is in need. She truly has a genuine heart.

I was so excited to capture these images of Sunny. I love it when I get to document moments that are so important in life. I’m glad that I have Sunny to call a friend, I hope to share many more years of memories with her.

This was supposed to be a slow and lazy weekend for me. But no, I realized one more time that I can’t really sit down and relax that easily. It’s like I have some restless-syndrome, if that even means anything. It’s also the Easter weekend.Â Rain had finally stopped,Â neighbors are out in the cul-de-sac,Â playing with kids and socializing.Â My rose bushes are starting to show some colors. I can’t waitÂ until my garden blooms again, it’sÂ been a long winter this year.
