Greetings and welcome to my brand new, hand-spun blog+site. My photography journey has been incredible! It began with fun, then grew into passion, then I discovered profound love for it and there was no looking back. It was one of the first few cold days in Sacramento, wind was blowing like crazy, it was nothing like how it was only a weekend before! But I knew the day was going to be beautiful, exciting and definitely memorable, nonetheless. It was Julia and Laing’s big day at the Westminster Presbyterian Church. The church was very special to the couple, this is the same place where Julia’s grandparents got married decades ago. Julia and Laing talked about their idea of recreating some of the photos from their grandparents’ wedding which I thought was really neat. After all, I don’t get such opportunities everyday!

{wedding}

I met Julia and Laing about six months ago. We clicked instantly! They were beautiful, funny and down to earth. Remember their engagement session in San Francisco? It was another cold and windy day by the bay, but we had so much fun shooting. I was looking forward to their wedding since then. The big day finally arrived a day after Thanksgiving. It was an emotional ceremony. It would be a lie if I say I wasn’t teary myself

The reception took place at the Tsakopolos Galleria in Sacramento. I really like that location for a reception. Julia changed into a traditional Chinese dress, she looked amazingly beautiful on her wedding gown and also on the red dress. I have to give it to J+L for rocking the night images even when it was super cold in downtown Sac.

Julia and Laing, thank you so much for having me at your wedding. I loved capturing every moment of your special day. I wish you a lifetime of happiness, not as your wedding photographer but as a friend. I know you will make a beautiful life together. Best wishes to both of you …
